Delete your account
Last updated August 2, 2026
You can ask us to delete your WalkACK account and the personal data attached to it at any time, for any reason, without giving one.
Spend your points first. Deleting an account forfeits any unspent balance, and we cannot restore it afterwards.
How to request deletion
Email support@ackplus.com from the email address on your account, or from any address if you signed up with a phone number, including:
- The mobile number or email you use to sign in
- The words "delete my account"
We verify the request is really from you before acting on it — usually by sending a confirmation to the number or address on the account. This is deliberate: without it, anyone who knew your number could delete your account.
We acknowledge within 48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days, normally much sooner.
What gets deleted
Everything that identifies you or belongs to you:
- Your name, mobile number, email address and profile picture
- Your date of birth, gender, height and weight
- Your step history, distance, calories and hydration records
- Your point balance and the full record of points earned and spent
- Your streaks, level, challenge entries and leaderboard positions
- Your delivery addresses
- Your device and notification tokens
- Any feedback you sent us
Your data is removed from the live service straight away and purged from our backups within 90 days.
What we have to keep
Two things survive deletion, and we would rather say so plainly than have you discover it later:
- Invoices and payment records for any reward you paid cash for. Indian tax and accounting law requires us to retain these for a set period, and we are not permitted to delete them on request. They are kept only for that purpose.
- Fraud and abuse records, where an account was closed for faking steps or similar. Keeping a minimal record is what stops the same person immediately re-registering. This is limited to what is necessary and nothing more.
Alternatives to deleting
If the problem is narrower than the whole account, these may suit you better:
- Too many notifications— turn them off in the app, or in your phone's settings for WalkACK.
- Do not want steps read — revoke the health permission in your device settings. Your account stays; it simply stops counting steps.
- Do not want personalised ads — reset or opt out of your advertising ID in your device settings.
- Want a copy of your data — ask us and we will send it. That does not require deleting anything.
Simply uninstalling the app does not delete your account. Email us if that is what you want.
